Mission Statement |
| It is the Mission of the NMMI’s Technology Department, as a service organization, to lead the Institute forward in the development, adoption, and use of technology. The technology of today and tomorrow will play an integral part in the Institute’s strategic and tactical plans that will result in: Producing leaders capable of critical thinking and sound analysis; Producing leaders who possess uncompromising character; Producing leaders able to meet challenging physical demands
We will strive to ensure that proper use of Technologies will increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiencies in all facets of the Institute. We will ensure that all necessary steps are taken to ensure that the systems and products that we install will provide high performance, will be scalable to allow us to meet future demands, will be reliable and available when required, will be secure from unauthorized access, and will meet the functional demands of our users. |
| Computer Requirements |
| It is highly recommended that all cadets have a desktop or laptop computer and printer. Wireless capability exists in several academic buildings across campus. Please see the Commandant's Policy Letter #5 (PDF)for more information.
Cadets required to bring a computer need to meet certain standards to be efficient on our network. These web pages explains our computer program, specifications for incoming computers, and our computer requirements. If you will be shipping your computer to NMMI, please read our Shipping Your Computer info. |
| Laptop Lease Program |
| Eligible students can participate in this program. Academy prep, AGA athletes and selected financial need students may be eligible. Please see our Laptop Lease Program page for more info. |
| Local Computer Vendors |
| There are several computer vendors in Roswell who will work on cadet machines. NMMI does not recommend one of these vendors over the other but is providing a list for cadets and parents. Arrangements with the vendors must be made by the individual. |
